“Miracle Ointment”? by jessicatbuds

WOW – we have one very happy customer who described the Buds Soothing Organics First Aid Lotion as a miracle ointment.  We can’t get better feedback than this!  What is especially great is that Dot Dot took photos of the recovery of the inflammation every few hours to show the change.  Click this link for the entry.

Many people wonder about the purpose of our First Aid Lotion.  This “miracle ointment” (we are so going to use it often now! 🙂 ) is to be used on scratches, wounds and bites.  The Organic Tea Tree oil serves as an anti-bacterial defence mechanism and helps to soothe the inflammation.  This lotion also contains prebiotic Gluco-oglicosaccharide which selectively boosts the friendly and healthy bacteria on the skin whilst inhibiting the growth of those nasty unfriendly bacteria.  At 50ml, it is a handy size to fit into any baby bag and First Aid kits and whip it out to soothe the ouchies when your little one has a scrape at the playground or is bitten by the mosquitoes at school!

Nappy Rash by jessicatbuds

We have had many enquiries about nappy/diaper rash.  Is it the same as eczema?  Is it the same as normal rash?  Anything Maternity has some useful information about nappy rash, its causes and treatment.  Click on the following for more info:

At Buds, we have a few products for nappy rash and inevitably, we receive many enquiries about the differences.

  • Buds Cherished Organics Baby Bum Balm: From the world’s largest line of preservative-free and certified organic line of skincare products for babies and moms, this Baby Bum Balm is a great 2-in-1 for preventing and soothing nappy rash.  Loaded with ORGANIC BEESWAX, it creates a barrier between baby’s skin and the contents of the diaper, preventing irritation and discomfort. It also features soothing SPENT GRAIN WAX and essential fatty acids rich INCA INCHI. The trio of JOJOBA OIL, SUNFLOWER OIL and SHEA BUTTER moisturise while ROSEMARY EXTRACT delivers anti-oxidants. This complement of ingredients; together with anti-bacterial TEA TREE OIL, provide unsurpassed protection, soothing and healing properties.
  • Buds Everyday Organics Nappy Time Change Cream: Designed to protect baby’s bottom between each nappy change, this protective barrier cream of Shea Butter and Jojoba, Sunflower and Sesame oils is combined with calming Bisabolol and antioxidant rich Vitamin E to soothe and protect.  After cleaning baby’s bottom, apply this cream to give the protective barrier and minimise nappy rash.  Don’t forget our Nappy Time Rinse Free Cleanser which is a great addition to any nappy bag, as it handles nappy time mess gently and effectively.
  • Buds Soothing Organics Nappy Rash Rescue Cream:  Is your baby to prone to nappy rash?  Treat and heal baby’s sore bottom with our Nappy Rash Rescue Cream. This is the certified organic version of the Buds Diaper Rash Barrier Cream noted in the Diaper Rash Home Treatment & Prevention article above.  This cream is especially useful to treat nappy rash and also for babies prone to nappy rash, it helps to create a barrier against nappy mess too.  We have boosted this cream with Gluco-oligosaccharide, a prebiotic that selectively fuels the growth of the healthy bacteria on your skin while inhibiting the growth of detrimental bacteria. Packed with ingredients like calming Shiso extract, recovery boosting Spent Grain Wax, hydrating Fructan, antioxidant rich Olive Leaf extract and a whole load of soothing Aloe Vera and Bisabolol, this cream will ease and repair nappy rash afflicted skin in no time. Extra Jojoba, Sunflower, Olive and Inca Inchi oils create an effective barrier to protect baby’s bottom from irritants.

Whilst searching for a different article, we stumbled across this heart-warming feedback from a mother who has used Buds Super Soothing Rescue Lotion on her daughter: http://mytwogirls.net/?p=500#comment-103103 This was way back in 2007!  What a lovely way to start a Monday!

As pointed out by Zara’s Mama in the link, this product is suitable for those who are prone to eczema – yes, even adults!  It is a great alternative to steroid creams usually prescribed.  Zara’s Mama was spot on again, as she realised that prolonged use of steroid creams are not good and secondly, they are expensive!

Whilst we were looking for this, we found another lovely recommendation too: http://alfredlzw.blogspot.com/2008/09/buds-super-soothing-rescue-lotion.html

This product has since been improved on and it’s now certified organic under the Buds Soothing Organic range!  This is the new look here!  Any feedback on our products – good or bad are welcome, as we do use this to improve on our products so please do write in either by leaving feedback on this blog, on Buds Baby’s Facebook page or via enquiry@budsbaby.com.  We look forward to hearing from you!!!

Motherhood Malaysia by jessicatbuds

With the success of the only baby fair in Klang Valley, Malaysia last year via Parenthood Expo, customers in Klang Valley are once again spoilt in 2010 with not only one, two but THREE main baby fairs!  Motherhood started the shows off at Mid Valley from 19 to 21 March 2010.  It was fantastic to see so many loyal customers dropping by to check out what’s new with Buds and stock up on Buds products with the many fantastic offers we had available.  It was also great to meet so many new customers!

To launch Buds Nurturing Organics, a range of products to pamper mothers, we had a “Count the Eggs” contest.  Congratulations to Ms Leow Hooi Mei of Johor, Malaysia for guessing the right number!  Congratulations also to our speedy babies who participated in the Crawling Competition!
